Grenoble Christmas market opening hours

From November 22 to December 24, Place Victor Hugo is transformed into a real Christmas village, where food, crafts and a festive atmosphere are in the spotlight. The flagship event of the end-of-year celebrations in Grenoble, the Christmas market attracts young and old for a friendly and magical moment. The chalets are full of local specialties, unique artisanal creations and gift ideas to delight the whole family.

One of the highlights of this edition is the meeting with Santa Claus, which will delight the children. It will be present on the market every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., as well as on Monday December 23 at the same times. On New Year’s Eve, it will welcome families from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., then from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., go to his chalet to immortalize the moment with a souvenir photo, creating unforgettable moments for all visitors.

Grenoble Christmas market activities

A must-see before the end-of-year holidays, the Grenoble Christmas market opened its doors on Place Victor-Hugo on November 22 and will welcome visitors until Tuesday December 24, 2024 inclusive. This charming Christmas village brings together more than 70 exhibitors this year, selected from 114 candidates. Among them, 34 are artisans, farmers or players in the social and solidarity economy, such as Baobab Grenoble Fair, a figure up compared to 2023. The exhibitors were chosen according to strict criteria favoring short circuits, the quality of products and the durability of the materials used.

Visitors will be able to discover a wide range of products and find original gift ideas: decorations, jewelry, accessories, clothing, sweets, gastronomic specialties and even wooden toys. To add a touch of solidarity to the event, a Secours Populaire stand will offer to wrap your gifts, thus combining festive spirit and generosity.
